Prof. Cees. Th. Smit Sibinga has been selected as a recipient of AABB’s prestigious International
President’s Award. This award recognizes extraordinary public service by an individual or an
organization in the health care arena.
He is receiving the prestigious President’s Award in recognition of his role as a master educator and for furthering the teaching of transfusion medicine throughout the world.
The ceremony has taken place during the official opening of the AABB Annual Meeting on Saturday 19 October 2019 in San Antonio, TX, USA.
Prof. Michael F. Murphy, AABB 2018-2019 President and the CEO Debra Ben Avram presented the Award.
